They say….

They say….

They say The Lord delights in brokenness, the brokenness of selflessness.

Lo and behold there is another brokenness the result producing shame, the shame after one refuses to listen.

There is a mystery hard to accept & many have heard it before a mystery I’m learning to accept, it’s all about the handiwork of The Lord.

I guess if I limit him I’ll hinder him but now my faith must be in line with this word…

So my question still remains does The Lord fix broken things or simply replace them?

I was told broken repairs still has weaknesses although they seem strong. so is it impossible for The Lord to replace?

What would you prefer a broken repair or a new replacement

Guess what? This is what Jesus did through the work of salvation he replaced the old covenant with a whole new one & a broken family relationship with a whole new one with different boundaries values & expectations.

Don’t accept broken repairs
Ask The Lord for a new one.

“less is more”

A voice calling in the wilderness.

isa 40:1 Comfort, comfort my people, says your God.
Isa 40:2 Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and proclaim to her that her hard service has been completed, that her sin has been paid for, that she has received from the LORD’s hand double for all her sins.
Isa 40:3 A voice of one calling: “In the desert prepare the way for the LORD make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God.
Isa 40:4 Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain.

This prophetic scripture refer’s to john the baptist, his mission , ministry and destiny.
The background of John was one that he should followed his fathers foot steps as priest but God had something different for him, we see this at his birth as they whispered “this boy would be something great” for the lord is with him , when they named him John. Luke 1:66

The amazing thing about john was his message of repentance in a destitute time when righteousness was obscure, what stands out to me about john he knew his place as he identifies himself as the “voice” that was spoken of in the scriptures.
John didn’t establish himself as a ministry with some big name on it
Simply Just being the voice ! ,John was content enough, just to prepare the way for the lord Jesus Christ John1:23

John 1:27 He is the one who comes after me, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.” John being the forerunner of Jesus ministry was humble enough to lay down his own significance for Christ to fulfil his purpose John 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

At the beginning isaiah says comfort , comfort my people speak tenderly to her
The nature of God is as a father the nurturing one , the God that opposes injustice to redeem his people from the powers that be. Often times Israel seem to be there own worst enemy paying for there own actions rebelling against the God that saved them who pledge himself to this nation in covenant through Abraham the father of faith.

Why I am I talking about all this?
Maybe because john didn’t see himself as most men through the eyes of status or a title which don’t make a man, what people will remember about you is you voice , views and your manner of life.
John became the voice of God to the people at a very important time when no prophet arose for four hundred years.
John was born under a religious order but God had him preserved in the wilderness detached from religion , tradition and all sort of social corruption
religious leader were practicing

It so sad that when the religious leaders came to the jordan they persistently ask John is he the Christ of Elisha the prophet Indicating they to was looking out for some social changes but they were reluctant to repent from their religious hypocrisy.

luk 3:10 "What should we do then?" the crowd asked.
Luk 3:11 John answered, "The man with two tunics should share with him who has none, and the one who has food should do the same."
Luk 3:12 Tax collectors also came to be baptized. "Teacher," they asked, "what should we do?"
Luk 3:13 "Don't collect any more than you are required to," he told them.
Luk 3:14 Then some soldiers asked him, "And what should we do?" He replied, "Don't extort money and don't accuse people falsely–be content with your pay."

How marvellous to hear the the heart of repentance from the simply question they asked John but the religious people remained quiet in the midst of the voice!

You succeed where I have failed. When I miss the gaps you fill the empty spaces with you own words

You shine like the sun in it’s strength to expose my countenance and my half hearted smile

You hear me “sigh” and you said “you can do it”

As I bite my lip and squeeze my fist
looking beyond the staring line to visualise my out come, as the adrenaline in my body starts racing, I HEAR , on you marks get set “GO”
