Pro 4:1 Hear, my children, the instruction of a father, And give attention to know understanding…

I hope you’ve enjoyed the journey over this series appreciating some of the fundamentals of our faith

Please… feel free to ask any questions or concerns in this series

Today’s topic is a weighty matter that would cause some rethinking and may cause us to question about what is the real design God intended when he made man.

My first Question: did God intend or purpose man to live by laws or relationship?

Secondly : is the old testament compatible with the new?

Let’s listen to Jesus explaining some thing ~

Mat 9:16 “No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse.

Mat 9:17 “Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”

So as an example the old and new covernants are not compatible

The law wasn’t reformed for us new testament or new covenant people.
God declared in the old ” behold I do a new thing isa 43:19
2cor 5:17 says if any man in Christ he is new creation
Heb 10:19 we enter in by a new and living way not according to the old Pattern
It seems like there is some kind of progression as God in history seems to moves on when his people seem to remain conservative. What I’ve come to know that the plan of salvation is a progressive plan so we must be moving on.

Gal 3:23 Before this faith came, we were held prisoners by the law, locked up until faith should be revealed…..

In conclution :

Hebrews 8:13 In that He says, “A new covenant” He has made, the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away.

So, can we live by Grace & law at the same time or was the design a progression from law to Grace..

I hope you enjoyed it…
