The most “misunderstood” message…

2Peter 3:15

Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means “salvation”

Just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.

He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to “understand”

which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.

Peter was concise about the ministry and teaching from his fellow apostle Paul.
The thread in Paul’s writings was very much based on the revelation of Gods Grace 1cor 15:10 which Peter says he writes the same in all his writings, I guess the signature of the apostles personal experience with Christ.

The mystery of Grace shouldn’t be a mystery if you are a Christian, it should be a living reality we often speak about

Paul’s passion was to preach Christ to the gentiles but the message of grace was a struggle for Jewish christians to receive so the Jerusalem church sent barnabas to see what Paul was preaching to the Greeks.

Act 11:22 News of this reached the ears of the church at Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch.

Act 11:23 When he arrived and saw the evidence of the grace of God, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts.

  1. I must say I had the same issue with Grace unti I begin to study it. For me I realized we were given Grace from God through Christ Jesus and the 10 commandments are still considered Holy but are not the basis of what saves us. However, the 10 commandments allows us to see when we do sin. So in essence, to two work extremely well together. But, this is how I understand it…Thank you for a wonderful post P.J..many, many blessings to you…Robin

    • Thanks for you comment robin as i respect your understanding of Grace which we share in christ.
what i can appreciate is the fact the concepts of Grace is manifold, The book of Titus tells us the the Grace of God becomes our life that regenerates our conscience when he said “the Grace of Gods teaches us” to say no to ungodliness ~ Titus 2:11-12

Then Paul says Grace made him work harder than any other apostle this wasn’t arrogance 1cor 15:10 This was the depth of the revelation of Gods Grace in his life which is manifold so no one can compare to ones brother or sister Rom 12:3 and judge their gift or understanding…

Many thanks robin & praise to him who’s peace is in our midst….

      • Your very welcome PJ and thanks for the additional scriptures…can never have too many…many, many blessings to you….

      • Your welcome, The revelation of Grace is like faith, it need evidence to prove it and Paul said we become the fragrance of Gods Grace undeniable…act 11:23
