A renewed desire

The psalms gives us a clear insight of the life & experiences, that lead David into an intimate relationship with God, which defines him a worship indeed.

I guess you know the life story of David, he often lived in danger, the result of a defiant king name saul unwilling to do right in the sight of the lord.

Saul wasn’t his only enemy.
After defeating the philistines
David inherited a new enemy as king saul sought to kill him because of his popularity, the result why he lived in caves and the wilderness, between Israel and the land of the philistines

The beautiful psalms we read today was birthed out of fear, desperation and trusting God as David grew to know the lord as his fortress and strong tower.

When my Godly desire fades…there is a psalm I like to remind myself about in chapter 27 of the psalms

Psa 27:4 One thing i have desired of the LORD, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, And to inquire in His temple.

David’s desire for God was some thing he had to seek after… which always reminds me to commit myself towards the things that I desire in relation to God .

Psa 27:8 When You said “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.”

David’s heart was in sink with the heart of God, as his own desperation only cause him to draw closer to God.

In conclusion ~

David desire was to dwell in the presence of the lord also to see • The beauty of the lord To inquire of the lord.
which means to me, seeking guidance in his decision making but the heart of the message for me today is about the room I give the lord to renew my desire which I must also endeavour
to seek after…
