I was on my way to work driving enjoying listening to the radio, as I was driving a calmness came over me, I felt a peace with myself suddenly to hear a “beep” Which through me right of my meditation and my thoughts went back 22 year ago being in Brooklyn , NY, grand army plaza on 5th ave , hearing the same “beep” on reflect it was a culture clash in my mind because the beep I heard all those years ago was a sign, making me aware of all activity around me but today in my home town “east london” it was a sign of intolerance, that made me feel mad!

It’s amazing how the mind works also how the emotions try’s to find context for our experiences ,well I suppose thats life’s journey learning
But on the flip side I saw the anguish of soul this man dealing with, knowing the times of austerity we are living in ,hard times causing people to despair

Anguish of soul is a terrible thing, even more if it’s self inflicted

There was a women who suffered anguish of soul knowing she couldn’t have children for the man she loved One day she prayed in the depth of her pain and said lord if you give me a child I’ll dedicate him to you
So when the child was born she called him Samuel meaning “I asked for from the lord”
want I understand is asking from the lord isn’t a sign of weakness, asking is a sign of relationship closeness more so recognising the we aren’t the sum total of supplying our own need’s
Anguish is also known as “bitterness how cancerous is that?
Consciousness is a combination of what we understand to be right in our own frame of minds aligned with our emotions finding context within Gods word , would God undermine my feelings? , would he disregard what I’m thinking?

conceptualising these dynamics is where our power lies , so don’t be afraid to add to your faith in-order to be reached or reach a wider audience.

“Culture Clash”

I suppose we have all heard or lived in a time when war, politic or civil and human rights was the topic of discussion, even beyond religion
I believe there is a transcend culture on the verge of causing a “cultural clash”
Its not colour nor race, politics or religion

But “technology , brands and branding”

for example when you bought your smart phone what did you buy? I guess a phone with Internet usage also multimedia usage with the luxury of calling anyone world wide

I’ll tell you, what you bought is not just a phone, you bought into a culture that’s technological , the science or method in which now shows us how we are living under a culture thats defining our lives in our society

The war of technology and banding is not about money but who’s culture will rule the masses

Look at apples law suit against samsung this isn’t about money it’s bigger than that is about the dominate culture that takes all

The clash might be if your an android user or an apple user sound trivial right now but we’ll see
this could be the clash of a new culture distracting us in a conceptualised age?

They say that we are in a different era which has have moved deeper into the information age, which also is know as the computer or digital age into an age called “conceptualised” age that simply means that people are questioning Things from a different point of view , the question is about the “why not how”
because we have the technology to work out “how” now the challenge is why?
This concept is the search for definition which is more evident in this age where the need for a deeper sense of fulfilment transcending work or money which is becoming more and more obvious, recognising the need for spiritual meaning in these times.

So what is the conceptualised age really about , this is when information that is accessible is placed with in an idea then the concept becomes a culture

(My paraphrase)
The bible says we wrestle not against flesh and blood But unseen forces, spirits , Authorities, governments, human thoughts, most definitely influential ideas, this could also be through modern “technology?

What I want to encourage is the kingdom of God concept isn’t a doctrine but the way we live as community representing God on earth this concept has a lot of history from David the king of Israel, Gods promise was the kingdom will be a everlasting kingdom and there is no end to his dominion Ps 145:13
Jesus came to fulfil the promise for us to enter this life and culture through his death and resurrection , the kingdom which also is mentioned in revelation 3:7-11 as the dispensational view of the church and culture before Christ comes back for his bride
The church in these last day has a great responsibility to encourage not just church but the kingdom culture that will bring glory to God in this conceptualised age, so that the worlds questioning will be the grounds for liberty and salvation not just conforming to everything that’s new in a conceptualised age.

I will be posting more about the kingdom of God and the “significance of this culture” in the coming weeks

“Fellowship is life”

children & worship pt4

Engaging with grace & truth!

What I’ll like to bring out of this subject matter is the importance I’ve placed in helping my children to engage themselves in worship, for them to find the connection between the truth of Gods word in the light of their every day experiences .

We often explain to the children that mum had several miscarriages and they are blessed to be alive today, my daughter was premature and my son was a miracle baby when the doctors said my wife wouldn’t conceive naturally with the current problems she was facing then, praise be to God we now have two children

When we sing in the light of our experiences involving God, our worship only becomes more powerful towards God, this is when faith begins to move mountains in other area’s in our life’s.

Ps 27:13
I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living.
Ps 27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD

waiting is a reflective stance towards believing God it’s those moments when we search for the Connection between of our present reality and the truth of Gods word

We have been courage to see that some of the most important issues the children were facing emotionally with friend or school had been addressed in those moment of worship and discussion

Jhn 1:17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

this is the connection, where grace meets truth in our lives

“This is how I felt”

“it’s okay to feel fragile” …..but it’s more important to be broken before God

By: pjgracecommunity

And being in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, as He sat at the table, a woman came having an alabaster flask of very costly perfume. Then she broke the flask and poured it on Jesus as all who stood by questioning why?

Mark 14:3

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
2cor 12:9

I’m Excited

The end of the month is nearly here time for my book go into the publishers for some heavy editing before publication as you notice my grammar isn’t the best but still I “believe i get the message across well enough”

I left school without any qualifications because of dyslexia, this condition in the late 1970s wasn’t recognised clearly as a common issues with child development

As I got older I found a deep interest to research things that interested me , reading and learning about human development especially my own

Writing this book came very naturally to me, maybe because the subject matter has been a great concern to me over the years journeying with the lord , I didn’t quiet connect with religion , tradition or legalism , which I questioned a lot , although the love of God to me is a response not some form of legislation for mankind just to obey or follow , So canonising my views in context of the written scriptures to identifying evidence of Gods grace has been a God ordained journey for me, in context of the theology I’m writing from an “Arminian” view “free will and grace
In the book I explore grace from genesis to revelation, the hidden silver lining in the word of God that seems to be over shadowed by the law but “my mentor” the apostle Paul make references to life before the law understanding the wonders of Gods grace & faith as the foundation of faith in Christ
When faith is weak there is only one reason why, the foundations hasn’t been laid as it should be
This is the intent and effects of grace in our lives, laying a foundation that
brings everything into Gods perfect will

I would love to hear your views on Grace and the context you give to it in your own lives

I use to think about grace in relation to human weakness but I discovered it’s bigger than that, Rom 5:3 grace help’s us to stand not just save us when we fall.
Heb 12:28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
