Every one know’s Jesus

But which one do you know?

Is it the one who was known as a friend of sinners or the religious one that seems lofty and holy that know one can’t reach him , or maybe the Jesus who let John lean on his chest

I want to share about this amazing
Person that I know is more than a man or any man would every be.

My thoughts are pondering on the story of two sister who lived in Bethany and their brother lazarus.

I want to create the setting for you

Jesus approaches the town on his way to Jerusalem and stops off to see some friends , when he arrives the two sisters makes a bit of a fuss after Mary shows Jesus a warm welcome but Martha gets worried about not being prepared for him
Well I guess Jesus didn’t come to eat food nether expected any entertainment he came for fellowship

After being settled by Mary she sat at his feet listening in awe of the word he shared , as Martha passed them Going to and from the preparation area , Jesus said ” Martha Martha” why are you troubled and worried about many things one thing is needed and Mary has chosen the better part listening to his word!

The wisdom of Jesus is so great that he didn’t tell Martha to STOP nether did he rebuke her but makes a statement causing her to question her own hearts motivation
Only for her to see her self efforts was in vain , one of the hinderances of church or community life is pragmatism when our work in the the lord only causes us to compare or critices other peoples application or lack of it.

Jesus often silenced this critics with one simple question which exsposed their own hearts.
Conviction is some thing I pray I’ll never resist the lord, knowing that I don’t always get is right but I want to be prepared to adjust even as the master calls.

    indeed.

Mary who did the best part which is to listen to Jesus, was the one who was very effective, ministering to Jesus at His dying moments.

Martha service made Jesus felt as if He needs Martha’s help. hold on. Jesus who multiplied bread and fishes is needing Martha’s help?
no way, Mary put Jesus in the spotlight by sitting down at His feet.

    good post 🙂
